High Temperature Gasket Material

We stock and supply high temperature gasket material. The following materials are available:

  • Non-Asbestos Fibre Jointing
  • Ceramic Fibre (such as Firefly)
  • Blended PTFE
  • Nitrile Rubber
  • Silicone Rubber
  • Tang Graphite (with and without steel inserts)

Rubber materials, such as silicone, can function up to 300ºC. Graphite is commonly used in high-temperature, high pressure applications and where steam is present. Ceramic fibre can operate up to 1000ºC, however it is very hard and brittle.

High Temperature Silicone

We stock and supply high temperature silicone gasket material.

Silicone is one of the most heat resistant rubbers; it has application in the pharmaceutical and food processing industries.

Colours Available: Different colours such as Black, White and Red. (High temperature silicone is generally red oxide colour.)

Product Specification and Technical Detail

As a general rule, silicone:

  • Is good for use with water
  • Is good for use with natural gas
  • Has good ozone resistance
  • Has good recovery
  • Is electrically insulating
  • May be FDA approved
