Insertion Rubber Specifications

We stock and supply insertion rubber, or heavy duty reinforced rubbers, in numerous grades and thicknesses. Insertion rubber is available in natural/commercial neoprene and nitrile and in the form of conveyor belting.

Insertion prevents stretching of the rubber allowing it to be used in applications such as conveyor belting, machinery, skirting etc.

The strength of insertion can change – with conveyor belt rubber having the most layers of fabric insertion running through the core of the material.

General Properties of Insertion Rubber

Insertion rubber has a mesh reinforcement, or “insertion”, running through the middle of it. This serves to increase the strength and durability of the material, allowing it to better resist persistent wear. The insertion reduces the elasticity of the material and helps the gasket to hold it’s shape. Insertion is commonly used in extremely abrasive applications (for example, to function as a guard on farming machinery).

Nitrile insertion should be used if fuels and oils are present.

Insertion rubbers are very reliable and long-lasting in tough environmental conditions.
